Default High Beams Problem??????

hi, i got new headlights so i installed them with hids, i was driving my car aroundand found out that my high beams where on, i thought maybe i hit the switch, but when i hit the switch it dident go off or on it just stayed on high means with the indicator light on i pulled out the high beam relay and it still has the indicator on and my low beams will still not go on im confused the high beams arent even connected only the low beam hids, i had the high beams and low beams connected but it did the same thing, so now i unconnected them and its still doing it but if i disconnect the battery the low beams will be on but if i turn my car off and put it back on it will go back to just high beams?? please help is there anyway i can just get rid of high beams if theres no way to fix my problem

Are you sure you got the right wattage? Should be 55 watts.

Seems the burnt out bulb indicator system is working properly in the SJB.
You may need ballast resistors to 'fool' the PCM into turning off the high beams.
Have you checked for the 'water leak' lately?

What year model is YOUR stang to make the
diagnosis easier for people miles away.

Not currently wet does not mean no damage to the SJB.
Without removing the SJB and inspecting it, all bets are off...
