help?
ok so being a little foolish, when I decided to get a mustang I settled for a 2010 v6 auto. but now I'm looking at mods for it and I'm a little lost. I think I'm getting a bama tuner for Christmas, & possibly dual exhaust. I'm looking to make my car louder/faster? but I don't want it to sound ricey! help? what parts should I look at getting?
gears or a cold air intake would be good......ull need a tuner aswell.......any exhuast you need to be careful because more then likely it wont sound good! ( i could get you any of that if your interested) see sig
take it from me i used to have a 2006 v6 mustang which is same motor as in your 2010 i did a powerhouse turbo kit on it had 430 rwhp here is a video ;-) miss that little car

Hey S197 chick,
You weren't being foolish! A Mustang is a Mustang after all!
A tuner and exhaust is definitely an awesome way to start! Make sure it's on your list and hope that Santa is good to you this year.
In regards to exhaust making the car sound "ricey" that is definitely an understandable fear as with the v6 it isn't easy, but it's not hard! I personally am a huge fan of the Flowmaster Force II True Dual Catback Exhaust
That exhaust gives the car the perfect deep growl, without getting raspy and being "too loud".
As a next mod, I would go with an intake. I am a huge fan of the C&L Cold Air Intake myself
as it picks up a nice amount of power but won't effect drive-ability what-so-ever!
That will definitely start you off on the right foot and if you have any other questions feel free to reach out!
Hope this helps!

Just changing the mufflers out on the v6 didn't yield the results I was looking for. I had to change the headers and mid pipe as well in order to achieve the sound I wanted. Look into an h-pipe as that will give you a deeper muscle car sound.
I was running a Pypes X-Pipe with GT500 mufflers on mine and it sounded good for a V6. The X-Pipe and left side GT over the Axle pipe was all you needed besides the GT or GT500 Rear Valance to run what ever mufflers you wanted.
I think I might still have the JLT CAI for my 2010 also.
