Default Tinting

i love the look of a black car with black tint... does anyone know a good place to get it done at and how much it costs? Also, has anyone tried to tint windows themselves? I'v seen rollls of tint in auto shops before and i didnt know if that was a great idea... so should i do it myself or just suck it up and get it done professionally? Thanks Guys

$150 max. I paid 130. Unless you have done it before, do not try...it is not that hard to do, but to make it look nice takes some experiance.

In TX you must have 30% tint on the front windows and the rest can be as low as 5% (which is limo tint). I did a google search and found this site that has each state's tint law... http://www.tintdude.com/laws.html

hey i live in md. i got mine done at trick trucks in edgewater for 165. tinting laws in md are nothin less than 25 percent i think, i got 35 all the way around (cept windshield) and wit the stock tint its like 25 now and it looks good since i have black interior, if you have a blakc interior it will make the tint look darker. get it done professionally.

Yeah, I'd say hire it done. You can do it yourself, but having someone else warranty it is priceless. It's really easy to mess up if you don't have experience and when its bad, its REAL bad.
good luck

just for those who got confused by that site like i did, film is the amount of light taht can pass through the actual tint, and net is the amount of light allowed to pass through the tint AND windows... because some windows come pre-tinted (slightly) from the factory...

on that note, does anyone know if the 05 stang has a stock tint in the windows?
