I'm apprehensive about adding a centrifugal supercharger to my 4.0L v6; could this kit be made to fit my application (2006 4.0L v6) without much fabbing?

they're working on it now...

Received this email back in mid-September...

[Hi Hamid,

The Mustang 4.0 X-CHARGER will be available soon. The new parts are designed. We will be receiving a model of the new inlet adapter this week.

Our Ranger X-CHARGER adds up to 78 RWHP with very flat HP and torque curves. The Mustang kit uses an MP90 s/c unit rather than the 62 on the Ranger. We anticipate the Mustang kit will make more power.

There will be a CA spec smog exempt kit and a more hi-po "49 state" version. The hi-po kit uses a larger MAF, larger intake tract and conical air filter. Tuning for both kits will be via SCT X-calibrator reflasher. If all goes well, the Mustang production kit will be available in 60-90 days. The California kit will cost $3995 and the 49 state a little more

For more information, give us a call, toll-free, at 888-EXPLORER (888-397-5673) Monday thru Thursday, 10AM to 4PM Pacific.

Thanks for your interest,
Dave Vanek

curious to why you'ld be apprehensive about adding a centrifugal S/C but not the Eaton?

Then your best bet would be a Zex kit with a 100 or 125 shot.

yeah, my Zex is working so well at only 100HP shot I'm having a tough time plunking down the money for a Turbo or S/C... I'm sure we'll be able to run the 125HP shot... but for now there's no reason to go to the 125HP until we get the tire spin under control... LOL! And it helps that I can get my N20 at $2.50 a pound....
