I have the XCAL2 also, no complaints. I heard there is a little more you can do with the XCAL2, but I dont know for sure.

I have the Preditor and I love it!

?HA?HA

That didn't help you very much did it.

Xcal and Preditor are the two top contenders - - they are pretty much even on capability, so it becomes a matter or personal choice.

I chose the Preditor because I liked the user interfact better, and at the time I got mine the preditor was a little cheaper then the XCal. I am not worried about custom tunes because the speed shop I would use for custom tune work, wouldn't use either of these units anyway. (They tune directly from a big computer!).

The "Which is the Better Tuner" think remindes me SO much of the "Which is Better - MAC or IBM" banter a few years back!

i agree with you wizard about this turning into a MAC vs IBM debate....i personally prefer MAC cuz thats all i work with and they are awesome but i do own PC cuz its the standard in many applications (like the Predator unit).....i did research before i bought my diablo and i couldve gone with either unit but chose the diablo for price and interface. it seems that these units are so similar that either one would do its job. but the predator unit does look pretty cool compared to the xcal2....hehehe....this shouldnt matter but its true!

Is this the same Predator unit that doesn't work with your model of car yet? [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]

I had troubles with the Xcal2....what really matters is the shop/tuner behind the device!! [sm=burnout.gif]

yup same unit...haha....good eye....i am just being understanding of technical issues involving computer related devices......i work with computers and design programs in my profession and always run into glitches and compatability issues.....i'm giving Diablo a break until they come out with the updated software. if they dont deliver, then i will return my diablo unit (diablo said they would allow me a refund from where i purchased my unit at any time) and purchase the xcal2.

Don't do it...

www.motorhaven.com (where I got mine from, use coupon code DIABLO to get the discount) sell the predator for $325 SHIPPED and they're a diablo dealer so there's no worries about it being a diablo that's been previouly used and not returned to factory

just my pennies worth!
