Default Automatic Windows+Cold Weather=PROBLEMS

Okay so it seems that Olde Man Mustang was right in his suspicions with the automatic windows going down a half inch or so and the cold and ice... i went out this morning to start my car and get it warmed up before i drove it... and i couldnt get my window open... i heard the electric engine move but the window didnt follow. Eventually with prynig and pushing i got it to open up. But BEWARE! and once you get it open dont close it until you scrape the ice out from the very top of the window... or it wont close back... and once your in make sure the window goes back up once your door is closed. And for Pete's sake... take it easy on your stangs!

Damn.. I was afraid of that... thankfully, mine should be garaged during any cold conditions like that.

thats interesting because i never had a problem with my windows all last winter. I did keep it garaged over night but I left outside in the parking lot all day and late into the night. there were many days when i would come outside and have 2 inches of snow on my car, but the windows always worked.

It was 29 degreees yesterday and 33 degrees this morning...

My windows work wonderfully so far... but.. my drivers windows squeeks LOUDLY going down - - (yea, I'm one of those people that likes to run with a window down no matter how cold it is!).

thanks for the info. I haven't been able to get on here for a while. Been getting our place ready for winter. I think I'll carry around some de-icer with me just in case.
