Louder Exhaust?
Hey, first post...
I already have the JBA axel-back on my pony, and it sounds great!! Just wondering if there is a louder alternative
other than duals? Would a right side SLP Loudmouth fit on the V6?
Thanks

i'm pretty sure one would fit, not sure what you would do with the left one... but to my knowledge, and i could be wrong, but both stangs have 2.5" pipes so any axle backs that fit the GT would fit the 6, but you'd be wasting one muffler- unless you wanted to hang a dummy muff
Lester,
Thanks for the reply.
OK so it will fit, lol.
As far as the left side muff... perhaps somebody may need one on Ebay? lol
If I can find a cheap pair I suppose I may give it a try.
Any thoughts on what the sound would be like?

well i haerd those things are rediculously loud on the GT's, and i woudl suspect that it woudlnt change for the 6... but i'm not too sure you'd get that good of a sound out of that. If you look at a pic of one, theres not much of a muffler or ANYTHING.. to me it just looks like a pipe lol (though i know its not) I'm a flowmaster fan- even if they tend to be priced a bit high, the sound is good even on a 6:

There is one issue i would like to bring up... mtal1259 (at least i think that was who it was) got his duals mounted on the 6 muffler (obviously a custom job) and then switched to a GT bumper and they didnt look right and the shop had to rearrange the exhaust system to make the back look good... i know your not switching bumpers but if its made for the GT bumper... it may sit a little high or low...
i think it'd be more hastle then its worth and the sound IMHO woudlnt be that great... but hey- its not my car!

Lester,
I really appreciate your input.
I am quite happy with my JBA right now, but I am always looking for more sound if its available.
I suppose I would go for duals if it didn't require changing the rear bumper. I've read about the
Magnaflow dual system that it doesn't require the bumper change, but when I heard their axel-back I
wasn't to sure about it. Ricey sounding? [:'(]

thats the same impression i got from all of the sound clips i heard of mags... i'm not impressed at all with those. And you can put on any dual setup without changing the bumper... https://mustangforums.com/m_555524/m.../tm.htm#555544 that wil show you how to notch your bumper to make the second one fit, or if it makes you feel better a local shop should do it for about 15 bux... and so far all i'v heard about the shops doing it turned out perfect. i still say go with the flows
I also have the JBA axleback and the sound is incredible. Don't get anything else. They make a rear valance for the 05/06 mustang for 179.95 and you can also bid on it at ebay or buy it at that price.
