Default Short shifter

Has anyone installed a short shifter in a 2005 Mustang V6? If so, was it difficult and is it something you have to take to a shop to do? Any ideas?

Curious as to why you think it would be harder than on your 86? I found some instructions for a steeda short shifter and it seems like something you or I could do on our own without a mecahnic. I was just looking for someone who actually put one in.
