Default DROP HER DOWN???

Im considering installing some lowering springs on my 06 pony package. Im not really sure what all this entails (cost, installation, what kind to get, etc.) so anyone who has done this, please let me know what the deal is!

see i asked this question and no one really responded.. but i know eibach is a respectable brand you can get a kit for about $279.... lowers the car 3/4" and installation is fairly simple..... ive installed springs on a few different maximas..... so ill be doing the installation myself.. but generally a shop shouldnt charge you more than $100 i think..... i might need verification...

Also plan on about $150 for an adjustable pan hard rod to relocate the rear axle to the center of the car. Straight forward enough for most people to install themself.

I would like to try the same thing. The only thing I am concerned about is the front alignment when the suspension is dropped. Steeda makes some camber adjuster shims for the 05-06 front end to correct the camber. Has anyone tried to bring their front end back to factory spec after they drop it using the Steeda parts? Is there any other way to realign the front struts after the spring drop.

Unless you're going to slam the car the frame geometry would not be seriously effected by lowering it 1" to 1-1/4". If you're going lower than an inch and a half then you should consider stuff like end links. camber adjusters, possibly ball joints and a bumpsteer kit. Now we ain't just talkin' milk and a fig newton, this could cost you some real bucks.

I lowered mine with the prokit with no problems. The prokit lowers it more than enough. I got charged a little more than I should have but I wanted it done on the spot because I was on military leave and only had 21 days with my car. To date my car only has 800 miles on it.

What kind of a difference did the Eibach ProKit make in terms of ride quality? I like the lowered look a lot (is it actually just 3/4" like they claim?) but I wonder if it's worth it with some of the bumpy roads I drive on.

for me like anything it was mainly done for appearance. Having 20" wheels with a huge gap in between the wheel wells looked nasty. Ride quality, you basically have to watch it when you drive or youll ground out. Did it once and learned my lesson. I suppose if I do decide to care about performace ill install some kind of super/pro charger but that wont be for a little while. Im still deciding how long im gonna keep my v6 before I trade up to a v8 maybe a year or so, if that is the case ill wait on the super/pro charger.
