Default Sungard Tint?

Hey guys,
I'm wondering if anyone has used this sungard stuff to tint their windows yet. I'm hoping to have some tint put in and I've read a few places on the internet say that its good but not much else other than that. Anyone have any pics they could post if they have?

I'm a total n00b to tint, I asked the guy for 20% and Alabama state law says windows have to transmit at least 32%, so does that mean its ok?

Id appreciate any feed back [sm=feedback.gif] Thanks!

legally if ur tint is below the cop can give you a fix it ticket, but from my experience most cops don't care and won't bother you as long as your driving responsibly. Thats just what i've noticed and have yet to be pulled over for my illegal tint. Cops just really don't seem to care.

The lower the tint %, the darker it is. I have 5% on my car, and thats pretty much blacked out. Sunguard, i believe, is just a strip of tint across the top of your windshield that keeps the sun out of your eyes better. If you pay to have your windows tinted, then whoever does it will most likely put the strip on for no additional charge. I'll post more pics when i get the chance, but this is 5%, which is illegal in GA, but its not a big deal if you drive responsibly.

look at the top of the windshield at the Black strip... that's the "sunguard" if that's what they meant

Wow that looks good Will. No cops have ever gotten on you about that?

Also, if I told the guy I want 20% tint is that 20% transmitted or 80% transmitted?

thanks man. No, no cops have gotten me....yet *knocks on wood literally*

20% means 20 percent visibility, so you lose 80% of what you had, or 80% of the light that was coming through.
Here's what I have found to be true with tint, as it happened to me with my last car.

Always have your windows tinted 1 level darker than you think you want, because after a while you get so used to it that you think your tint is gettin lighter.

i had 13%, which is pretty much like 15%, and it was dark yes, but i wished i had gone with the 5%. Im really glad i have 5% on the mustang
