Default Tricks when driving in CA

anyone who knows what to look for to not get speeding tickets? where you can give your car some stick, and where not? i just moved to CA from Europe, where i know ALL the tricks and what to look for especially since highway police in my country is mostly undercover, but here it seems much more complex as the cops are much more present...

California is very large, where do you live? Radar detector is the easiest.

Yeah, it's called watching your speed.

You can google Speed Enforcement in (such and such city or county) In some cases cities will tell you when and where they will be running radar.

I would think it would be harder to speed in europe if most of the cops are undercover since you don't know who really is a cop.

Just as a side note, keep an eye out for motorcycle cops hiding in the shadows under overpasses, there is one that posts up right down the road from my apt everyday. Also you should watch on/off ramps while you're on the highway, they like to sit up on there and wait for you to go by.

no speed traps where you are! Just watch freeway onramps when you get out into the sticks, as they sometimes wait up there. The main thing is you just have to go with the flow of traffic. Do NOT pass other cars going 10, 20 mph faster, don't zigzag, or change lanes, to draw attention to yourself.
Your main problems won't be in avoiding tickets but in avoiding massive traffic jams!

I try to go fast enough, that they can't identify me as anything other than a "black blur" ... Try to keep it above 130mph on the highway and you'll be fine
