Looking to make a west coast statement...
If anyone local is interested, I'll be bringing the new ChevyKiller down to the PSCA Spring Break Shootout on March 14-16th at Fontana. I'm getting ready to take on the east coast on their own turf later in May/June and trying to set the record for the worlds fastest daily driver 4.6 3V S197.
I will be driving the car to fontana and expecting to be running in the 9.20's while I dial her in for the big NMRA races back east later in the year. I'll be doing an article later in the year where we will drive the car 50 miles straight from the street to the staging lanes to lay down an 8.9x pass...[8D]
The PSCA spring break shootout is a fun event and lot's of cool cars. They have a lot of classes so anyone interested n/a or big power can find a fun class to compete in...

LOL
- most already know about my car...[8D]
For those that don't -
I have stroked the new boss big bore 4.6 block to a 331 and have a custom Whipple 3.4 HO set-up on a KB lower manifold. Custom adapted metco rails, -8 lines, #60 injectors, GT500 fuel system with 40 amp dual BAP's. Custom cams, heads and valve train, and a long list of suspension mods.
You can also just click the link in my sig to see the chevykiller back on the old KB 2.6 HO set-up...

Are you just calling out S197's so you can get that record? I've seen Foxbody's driven to my local track from Charlotte, some 30 miles, and nail off some 5.4x passes, then drive back home. That's mid 8 territory. During a normal test n tune night at that. The track is usually decently prepped though, since Greg Anderson test his car there 24/7.
But you definately have the fastest street S197 I've ever heard of.

Of course I'm not the 'fastest' or even close for that matter. Nope, just trying to do it on the 4.6 3V and just dealing with S197's or I wouldn't have a chance...lol
The fastest modular guy I know is John Mahovitz running 6.38 in his tube chasis modular beast...
