Default Need help with Tire Sizing

I have stock 16" rims and tires on my 2006 V6 mustang. The rims I want to go with are 17 X10.5 black deep dish bullits. Now, Ino nothing at all about sizing tires so here's my question: When I get new tires, I don't want my car to gain any height fromjumping up the rim size by an inch. Yet I don't want to gettires that lose too much sidewall as I don't like that look on mustangs. What size of tires should I get? The specs on my wheels and tires are:

P215/65R16 96T
16 x 7.0-inch wheels

Should I get tires that are a little wider in the back to make it look better? And does it matter that both rims are the same size (front and back)? Will that have anyeffect?

Also, I dont know what type oftires to go with; does anyone have any recommendations on tires that are decent in both the summer and the winter (seeing a little bit of snow)?

Thanks guys. I'm brutal with this stuff.

depends on how wide you want to go .....245/45R17, 275/40R17, or 315/35R17 will be the same height...as for tire options...what are you wanting to do with the car and how much do you want to spend?

I want just a little wider in the back than the front (not a huge difference though). I'd like to keep my front tires about the same width that I have now and widen the backs.I'm not sure how much I'd want to spend, I'm just exercising my options.

I seen in a lot of pics that people dont have the deep dish rims for their front tires. What's the reasoning behind that? Thanks.

wrong wrong wrong...

S197's use a different diameter tire than the fox and fox 4 cars

Kwiatkowski18: Make sure you do not buy rims for a 94-04... they will not fit your car properly
