Default Tire Rack Question

I'm looking at purchasing Sumitomo HTR Z II's from the Tire Rack mainly due to the great price. I am a college student and money is tight. Anywho, the question I need answered is about the sizing of tires. The rims I ordered are bullitts in a 18X10 and 18X9 for the fronts. On American Muscle, they say the best fitment for the 18X10 rim is 275/40/18and for the18X9 is 255/45/18.

Can I go with 245/45/18's in the front instead of 255? Is there any problems both appearance wise or performance wise with changing that size of tire? Thanks.
