Default 06 GT Offset/Backspace question

I am looking to purchase 18x9 American Racing Razors and wrap them in 255/45/18s all around. I've noticed that I have a few offset/backspacing options. I am looking for the best option that will keep the spacing from the wheel lip about the same as stock. I don't mind them coming out a little closer to the lip, but I do plan onlowering the car at some point, so I don't want issues with clearance.

Specifically I've seen a +24mm offset w/ 6" backspacing or +40mm offset w/ 6.5" backspacing. I did notice a +12mm offset w/ 5.5" backspace, but I thought that might bury these tires too deep into the wheel well and make them look lost.

Would 275/40/18s work all around? (same question applies as above)

Thanks!

the ones you needare the +40. The +24 will come out past the fender 3/8ths of an inch and the +12 7/8ths of an inch. The silver and chrome version are both on national back order, to my knowledge no one has them, my AR rep. told me that they do not have an expected delivery date as of yet. We have the gunmetal instock ready to go with either tire size, both of which will fit just fine. The 255 45 18 is the most common but the Roush comes with the 275 40 18 so we sell quite a few of those as well. I can do the set with the 255 45 18 for $1700 to your door mounted and balanced or the 275 40 18 for $1800 to your door mounted and balanced. The 255 45 18 would be the Riken Raptor Z (michelin brand) and the 275 40 18 would be the Sumitomo HTRZ II. A third option that you could do would be the 255 45 18 front and a 285 40 18 rear in the Nitto NT555 Extreme. Thats another commom seller for us for the guys who want the staggered set up. If you need a quote on that just me know. Thanks. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have anyother questions. Oh, if you have tire pressure sensors let me know. it complicates things just a bit but nothing we have not done 100s of times already.

Go with 20x9 razors. Look a lot better on mustang's.

Thanks to the both of you for this info. I'm also shopping for Wheels & Tires for my 05 GT Mustang & been looking around thinking of upgrading to 18"x 8 or 9 up front & 18"x10 in the rear {being a old Mopar Muscle Car guy like the Larger Tire in the rear look}. Looking on Tire rack at some ASA JS5,Kazera KZ-A, & Dale Jr. Wheels Chrome Finish. Having trouble finding a good ALL SEASON Tires as the Tire Rack only listed SUMMER ONLY for sizes 255-45-18 & 285-40-18 & I need all season here in the N.E. & my Mustang is my daily driver. I'll keep shopping. Good luck on getting your wheels. R.A.T.
