Default Steering problems

I bought some 17" chrome 5 spoke rims with used tires, the tread is probably 60-70% left. But with the new wheels on my car it pulls to the left and right. It doesnt pull in just 1 direction, it goes both ways sometimes. Also when i brake and its pulling, the harder i brake the harder it pulls. What can cause this? It almost sways side to side while driving..its wierd.

Sounds like this just may be a sign of wider tires.

What size tires are you running now and what size did you replace?
Is your car lowered? If so, how much?
May be a bad ball-joint issue as well, so let us know.

Well i'v got 245/50/17's on all 4. Used to have 225/60/16's. Right now its got stock springs, but im throwing a pair of steeda sport springs and tokico struts on this week sometime. hopefully that will fix some of this.

Well, going from 225's to 245's is not much wider, but maybe tread pattern and compound is related to this issue. If you go from not so good tires, to real sticky performance ones, I can see this issue coming up. Drive it around a bit and see if you don't just get used to it. When I went from my 9" PS2's to my 10" R888's.... I was all over the place

I think struts and springs may help, so keep your fingers crossed. But, if the problem didn't exist PRIOR to the tire/wheel installation, I think it is just something you will figure out after driving on them a while. I would recommend you get your castor checked when you align it after your upcoming installs.
