Default Drag Radials question

Looking to pull the trigger on a set of Drag Radials in 275/40/17. The choices seem to be Nitto, M/T and BFG. From what I've heard, the M/T have the best at the track traction, and the Nitto have the longest life, but the traction isn't as good. Can anyone give me their thoughts and/or experience with these?

I will be putting them on at home and driving about 60 miles each way to the track. The other issue is living in Florida, you never really know when it's going to rain, so I'm not sure if I'm stuck in a rain storm with the M/T if I'm going to be all over the road.

Anyway, please chime in.

Thanks!

Chris

I know VERY little about DR's in general, but will tell you the following. I have always heard good things about the MT's, but correctomundo about the traction in the rain. I suggest you put the tires/wheels in the trunk and install them when you get to the track. you can bring a small floor jack and will not take much time at all.

I've had excellent luck with the Nitto DR's on the streets & track! ...very good in the rain as well!

As mentioned. Install them at the track. You will feel much safer driving.
Plus wont get all the funny looks with different wheels, and smaller rear tires on the way, lol. Plus unnecessary miles on the drag radials.

I change my Goodyear Eagle SS drag radials 275/40/17 at the strip always.

Regardless of where I install them, I'm really looking for feedback on the different brans (Nitto, M/T, BFG, etc). I can get the Nitto's or BFG's for $145 each, where the M/T are around $200 each
