Need some help
I have an 07 GT and am looking into getting new wheels and tires and need some help gathering info. I do more street driving than anything, but wouldn't mind getting in a few track days. I guess i just need some info on what sizes will fit. What is the biggest tire I can fit on the biggest rim that will fit. What are the pros and cons of running a staggered set up vs non staggered.
Edit. I guess I should say widest rim. Not biggest. Open to both 18s and 20s.

Our website has a lot of information on products for your car. After you select the link, enter your car's information and you can view all of the tires and wheels we sell for it. You can also view the wheels on the car. That is a good place to start and help you decide what you would like to do.
Good info from Colin above
About the max size seen on an S197 is 9"s & 10"s on 20" wheels. I personally, feel that 18"s are the way to go for lots of reasons, but is just my opinion and your car.
"+"
1. can fill the wheel wells up with lots of tire/wheel and looks more aggressive
2. can run a softer tire due to width for higher performance driving.
3. LOTS of options on tires especially in 18"s
"-"
1. Higher cost to go larger wheels/tires than stock.
2. higher "concern" factor to curb damage, theft and the like.
3. Wider tires tend to follow grooves in the road and pull you around a bit (you get used to it).
4. enough options to make your head spin around in circles
5. Larger wheels will almost ALWAYS require a tuner to correct speedo accuracy.
6. Staggered won't allow you to rotate tires, but hasn't been an issue for me.
