03 Gt New Wheels and Tires
Hey,
i am brand new to this forum and i am loving it, but anyways, i just bought a used 03 gt, bone stock, have lots of plans for it in the future, right now im planning on throwing on a new set of rims and tires, my plan is to get it lowered 1.5", but i want to run a 18" rim, 8" wide rim in the front and a 10" rim in the rear, what size of tires should i run, i want it to look mean and have lots of rubber down on the pavement. Thanks

Welcome

If you want to look mean, is there any reason you don't want to go wider on both ends with 9"s & 10.5"s? with 8" & 10" wheels, you are looking at a max of 245's up front and about 305's out back, to remain within manufacturers specs. Depending on your budget and driving needs, you can run either a 35~40 series up front and 30~35 series out back.
Take a peek at Choosing a new tire thread (sticky) and determine what are your needs in a tire as far as traction and driving style.

How are you doing? Welcome to the forums. I generally recommend going with 18x9 in front and 18x10 in the rear. Tire wise I recommend 265/35/18 on the front and 285/35/18 on the rear in the Nitto NT555's. If your wanting alot of tire on the pavement and looking mean without going with drags. You can also do 255/40/18 in the front and 295/35/18 in the Nitto Invo. PM me if your have any questions.

Cool
The only question left unanswered is what tires to run. If you don't know where to start, pepe the Tire Rack Decision Guide in Choosing a new tire sticky in this section. If you are running the TT set-up I see in your sig, you are gonna need some super-sticky's for sure!
