Default Question about tires

I have a 99 Mustang GT, my tires are P245/45-17, a friend gave me two tires they are P225/45-17. I need to replace my fronts would I be ok using these?

They will be both smaller in diameter, and narrower than your 245's. Plus it won't be a good fit on a 8" rim.

Those would not a be a very good fit on a 8" wheel. I would look for some 245s to put on.

they will be fine. 245-45 are the best fit and they will be about 3/4 inch wider than the 225-45. the wheel will be easier to get curbed with the smaller tires.

like smitty said, get on craigslist and find the right size. They would mount up, but i wouldnt go down in size that much.

I would definitely not reccomend the 225's. The curbs and pot holes will eat you alive
