Default Why the backorder?

I have been trying to get an 03' 17X9 cobra chrome rim for weeks. Latemodelresoration even charged me $172, and their site said it would ship on july 2nd, and then they charged me and sent me an email saying they wouldn't have a rim in until the middle of Aug and that they could refund my money if I wanted to wait a week. I told them I want a refund, but I still need a rim sooner than 7 weeks from now. Any ideas?

I am sorry to hear that your order has gone this way and why I feel companies should NOT charge your CC until the day they ship them to you. I have always heard good things about LMR, so I don't see any funny business going on here, but you are held hostage by your order and is just not right, IMO.

You can try ***THESE*** and says "in stock"

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think you're allowed to be charged for something until the day it ships.

I think there are ways around this, such as drop shipping and such, but would agree that charging a CC PRIOR to shipment is bad policy and my company doesn't do it. If there were a reason I "had" to, maybe a non-returnable item or something, I would let the customer know this is the case and order could NOT be cancelled or returned to receive authorization.
