I don't recomend you paint your wheels on a DD

Do a search in this section and will find a few posts on the subject for further info. I know this has come up and at least one person followed through with it and came out nice. I don't recall if he chimed back in later to give the low-down on how it held up over time.

PC is another thing altogether... but just regular paint will get beat up by road debris and such. Remembering now, that the one person mentioned above was going to use like super-duty special paint and don't recall the outcome.

Do some research on line for this subject and see what you find out.

I've had good luck painting wheels in the past, but I always do it the right way. 1. Degrease wheels, 2. sanding, 3. Primer, 4. 3 coats of paint, 5. clear coat.

It takes a full day, but they turn out nice and last and usually last a few years.

Cool

Q: what happens when you need new tires? I figure you have to re-paint them, or at least touch them up... right?

PS. If this was the case, I would have to paint my Summer wheels every year
