Wow! That is pretty impressive. That is one clean looking Mustang! I definetly will go with the 17" tires but right now money is tight since I just purchased these rims that I have now. My dumba** mistake is that I should of talked to you before I went ahead and bought the rims I have now. I might have to wait a year before I'll be able to do that. I have already sent rims back to where I bought them from three times because of fitment issues and they won't take these back because the tires are mounted on them. So I'm kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. But yeah I definetly will go with 17" rims when I can afford to get them.

Do you still have the wheels you removed to purchase these? If not, then the only other solution I can see that is the least expensive, would be to pick up a set of the narrowest tires you can run out back, or go lower profile.

I will do a bit of research later today and see if I can come up with a tire that may work better on the wheels you have.

PS. Thanks

No unfortunately I sold them already. I don't want to go too narrow but I would be o.k. with low profile. I appreciate that you will check later on that. Let me know what you find out and I'll do a little searching on my own.

I see a 215/50/15" tire that is 23.5" diameter, as opposed to your existing at 25.6". This will give you 1" additional clearance and an equal amount of drop. This will help your clearance issues, but doubt it will elimiate them.

Problem with this solution is that you need to buy a new set of tires and that will cost you some $$$. I still recommend you take what you would spend on new tires, and get either a set of new wheels with about 1.5" additional back-space, if you continue with a 7" wheel. I don't know how much your off-set changed with the 5-lug conversion, so cannot be more specific.
