Default 16" wheel recommendations

They are the 16x7 wheels. The car will be my DD. No auto x, no hard cornering, sorry Jazzer

I'm looking for something that has good dry traction while not having to worry about hydroplaning if it decides to downpour while I'm driving. Basically I guess I'm looking for a high performance summer tire.

I'd like to keep it on the cheaper side which I understand I will lose performance.

EDIT: What do you think of something like this?

These look like nice tire choices:

I'm a little nervous that the R-S3 ^^^ tires might not be the best in the rain

Any of those not make jazzer shake his head?

hit the back-page button by mistake and lost my FUKCING INFO

Your links do not work, so will do my best to figure them out. The Ventus V12 Evo is a nice tire and see it as wonderful for heavy wet and good Summer grip as well. Looks like the comparisons are between the Ecsta SPT and Direzza DZ101. Of the three. I see would prefer the Hankooks, as the tread pattern is great for water dispursion, yet has some solid blocks on the outter edge for lateral grip for Summer corners (even though you are a communist, for HATING the corner )

Unless one of them is much less expensive, I see them as pretty comparable between each other. Hopefully Luke will chime in, as he will certainly be more familar with them than I*

Jazzer

*This is because I am NOT a communist and have been blessed with the love of corners, while you were likely brainwashed at an early age to be against everything that The Jazzer stands for!

What do you think of the RS-3 tires? Those were the ones I was wondering about water disbursement.

The Hankook RS-3...?

This can't be right, as that is a VERY high-performance tire that just bearly falls short of an "R" comp.

Jazzer says, preeze elaborate

Yes the RS-3 tires. They fall into the price range I'd be willing to spend but am worried about wet performance.

The tread pattern is gonna be pretty good at water dispersion, but the compound is VERY soft. To tell you the truth, I am not sure how they will do, based on compound. I drive soo conservatively in the wet, I just don't put myself in positions of hydroplaning much at all! I run 295's & 315's on 10" & 11" wheels, with either PS2's or 888's. NEITHER of these is ideal for water and the width of tires is also a bad thing in wet conditions. I don't even come close to pushing either tire when the roads are even damp with morning dew.

Hopefully Luke will chime in with some input on such a soft compound in the wet and your needs.

Thanks Jazzer! The RS-3 seems like a good tire choice for what I'm looking at. I like the thread pattern. Only thing with the tires I get is I don't want to have to worry about when it's wet out and hydroplanning. I don't plan on driving aggressive or anything but I'd like to be able to drive normal and not having to worry about anything.

Luke, where are you!!! lol
