Default Cosmetic opinions wanted

Hello.

I have a 2001 black Mustang GT convertible with a Cobra brake upgrade. I have the stock wheels on my car now, all 4 of which have rash on them from the previous owner. I am thinking of replacing the wheels with something from OE Wheels. My main "con" to this is the OE Wheels appear of have a different size center cap than any OEM wheel. So I'm guessing I'd have to use the OE Wheel center caps or would there be centers with a cobra emblem or horse available? Below is a pic of my stock wheel & a pic of the wheel I am looking at. I would appreciate any cosmetic opinions you all have.

** There is a photo gallery link in my signature.

Thanks!

I may go with these now.

The guy at OE Wheels I spoke to on the phone wasn't very friendly. Really turned me off.

Too bad the Latemodel Restoration wheels do not have standard center caps. grrrrr

And, why the hell is it so hard to find wheels that are not chrome?

Your caps should still work, most are universal.. and in the slight possibility that they don't there are several companies out there that sell different sized caps.

And chrome is just a popular option. I'm not a fan of it either, well except black chrome

The usual issue with interchanging caps is not soo much the diameter, but rather the "depth" in which they fit. Often times, they fit too sunk in or not all the way down. My solution was to peel off and exchange the emblems on the outside. This way, one can use the plastic part that fits perfectly, yet have the emblem from the previous wheels. The other issue IS diameter, but 1/8" difference is not necessarily going to be noticeable.

Mine still says American Racing. No big deal to me. I could care less.

I found these on a different site for sale. $300 + shipping. Awaiting a shipping estimate. They look pretty nice for $300 I think
