Default rear tires

I have a 98 SVT Cobra with a set of 03/04 Cobra chrome termi wheels on it.I was wondering what the largest tire I can run on the rear of the car with out rubbing.I am looking at putting 315/35-17 on the stock 9.5 chrome termi wheels for the rear. Will they fit with out rubbing the quad shocks.I currently have 275/40-17 on the rear.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The '03~'04 Cobra wheels are 9" wide. Please do not install a set of 315's, as they will "mount", but not "fit" Installing an oversized tire will offer no performance gain and only downsides to wear, grip and safety. If you want to run 315's, get yourself a set of at least 10.5" wheels.
