Default taller tires

I will soon need tires. My wheels are 18". Can I go to a 225 60 18 without issues on my 2015?

all depends on the width of the rim. What's on there currently? Are they factory rims?

OEM tends to put tires on that are in the middle for the size range of the rim width.

Example, my 08 came with 235/50 all the way around I put 255/45 in the rear and kept the front stock size. The 255 is the maximum allowable for my rim width which i s 8.5 or 9"

Yes factory rims. The tire I am talking about are about an inch taller and 1/4 inch less width.
So what do you think?
My reason for going taller is the roads here are terrible

It should be find then since Ford used either a 18 x 8.5 or 18.5 x 9. You can either go to tire rack or discount tire online and use their tire sizer since you have the factory rims. They will show you what tires will fit for your rims. 1/4" tread width does not translate directly to bead width. Tire Rack goes a step further and will only recommend tire brands that are compatible because the bead width fits.

I totally get the reason you want to go taller. You also have to consider overall diameter. It will affect the number of tire rotations which affects your Speedo.

Those tires will cause your speedometer and odometer to be wrong unless you have the car programmed for them.
