Lucas Valley redwoods, Marin County. A beautiful, but again, all too short stretch of road that is lined with wonderful 100' tall redwood trees and wonderfully positive-cambered turns. George Lucas used this forrest to film the Speeder-Bike chase scenes in Star Wars®

A wonderful, though all too short, section of Pacific Coast HWY 1 dubbed the "Fort Ross twisty's" If I ruled the earth, I would mandate this stretch of road be duplicated to run the entire coast of California. A parallel, but completely straight, side-road would be constructed and all unauthorized traffic required to use it. Any unauthorized persons using the "California Twisties" would receive a citation and is, of course, punishable by death.

ATTENTION: trucks, campers & sightseers.... Please heed to the following vehicle code: CVC 21656. I will NOT ride your a$$, but will get close enough to quickly accelerate past when the pull-out is used. I will, in turn, thank you with a courtesy wave 100% of the time ANYBODY allows me to pass. When in my truck, I will pull over in kind (though extremely rare receive a thank you... dirtbag!)
