“Black Jesus” Turbo LSX Street Races a TT Lambo
The name of Black Jesus stems from a delightful amount of spite, specifically aimed at another local’s car called “White Devil.” Black Jesus was built using a combo of LSX motor, 88mm turbo, and a few other parts that range from high performance to “junk yard.” All in all, the owner of Black Jesus estimates about 970 hp.
As you can see in the video below, Black Jesus’s main competition on this night comes in the form of a twin turbo Lamborghini Gallardo, which is claimed to have made 2,000 horsepower, but is now tuned down to about 1,500. There’s a lot of number estimates and guesses going on here, but that’s 1320video for ya.
Anyhow, for having a disparity of over 500 horsepower, the Fox Body clings on quite well to the Lambo. On the first pull, you can Black Jesus spinning its tires VERY hard. Actually, on just about every pull, it lays down a couple hundred feet of black lines on the pavement. That said, the Fox Body brings a good fight to the Gallardo, but you can be sure from a dig, this would be a different story. I’d say it would be quite a sight to see both of these guys hit the strip.
