blower for my 289
I have a 65 mustang with a 289, it has everything redone and still has stock compression. I want a roots type blower for the car. I have another hood all ready with the slot cut out. I have looked for blowers for it and only found the 174 powercharger by holley I believe. Is that it? thats my only option? If anyone has a good idea let me know. I am also looking for the best hood scoop thaty will give me enough room for my blower? Thanks guys Mark

www.paxtonauto.com might be an option. As long as you keep the boost down, you should be OK. And no hood modifications are required.

If you mean Weiand, it is now owned Holley. Sold under the Holley name. Someone who may have exactly what you need is www.kuhlsuperchargers.com out of Santa Ana, CA. I have seen their product and it is some hi quality stuff. If memory serves they make a roots style for your 289.

RE: blower for my 289
Nearly done with my latest project car a 65 mustang with a B&M 174 powercharger which I modded for EFI with a 4bbl TB on top and all fits under stock hood with shelby scoop.
I orginially had a powerdyne supercharger from a 89 5.0 that bolts right up the the 289-302 using the 89 brackets on the car but wanted a more classic look.
Either blower are a good choice!
