Default Wheel and S197 Noob.

Well finally found the car i was looking for a 2005 Mustang GT Premium With Black Leather, 5 Speed, Metallic Grey,41,000km(25,000 miles)

anyways i don't like the factory 17's and want to put rims on right away but i don't know anything about offset, size, width, and all the mumbo jumbo so i need some helps

What i want:

18's(thinking 18x10 in rear and 18x9 in front)
staggered(how do i figure this with offset? do i need spacers?
deep dish(opinions? i know the boss aren't DD but yeah)
whats the bolt patten measurements on a S197?
can any rim be made to fit?
as for tires what sizes can fit on a 18x10 and 18x9 i want to go for a very wide look in the back in i was thinking 295/35/18? and 265/40/18 fronts?

a couple rims styles i was looking at are FR500's Boss 328's ,ADR M Sports...other suggestions are welcome!

The Car

Wheels
Boss 328's (Black Chrome)

ADR M Sports (Hyper Black)

FR 500's(Chrome or Black Chrome)

Thanks.
Dustin

You may want to rethink your rear width. You may want to go 9.5 for clearance sake. Check out Americanmuscle.com's wheel selection. They have a dedicated S197 page of wheels that will fit.

18x10's will fit in both the front AND back.

It depends on your offset.
I am running 18x10's all the way around with 275/40/18 tires.
The offset of my wheels is 45.
Depending on the wheels being deep dish or not.. you may need a spacer on the front wheels.
I did not though.

BTW. ROUSH uses 18x10's all the way around out of the factory for their 2005-2009 Mustangs.
This is my second set of wheels 18x10 all the way around from two different companies with no issues at all.
The first ones were ROUSH wheels and this set are the 18x10 Black Saleen Style Wheels from cruizinconcepts.com

We have the best pricing on wheels and wheels and tires. I think the Fr500s looks really good on that vehicle, but the GT-4 in black would really do the trick (image below). Any of our sales technicians can provide information on the necessary offsets etc. Heres a link to images of MF members cars with our wheels - MF Rides with OE Wheels

That car's going to look great when you get the right wheels on it.

FR500's will require spacers in the front if you get them 18x10 I believe.
I think I remember someone on here that ordered them and had to order spacers after.
The spokes rubbed his calipers.

so does that mean i can fit 18x9 on the front and 18x10 on the rear no spacers required??

if i can stay away from spacers i would like to haha

Thanks.

Not sure what my offset is but I run Steeda Pentars 18"x 9.5" all around.

I had the 17" wheels on my car before they slightly rub full turn until I bought the wheel stop form the 18" models.

Good Luck!
