Default 07 headlight lens replacement

Heres one I've never seen! A kit that replaces the stock headlight assembly to a more retro look of not having a lens cover at all..has anyone ever seen that?...I feel the glare off the cover is too much of a contrast with the rest...

Are you asking if someone makes it? Well this is kind of the closest I've seen that looks decent. Problem is it's a whole front end replacement.

it's off of the Foose Mustang

That's one *itching set up!. It must be because I'm from the 70s mustang era but, if there would be anything I would change from the stock s197 it would be that over bearing plastic head light cover......I live near the beach and even though I keep my car ultra clean and waxed I still have sand pits in those covers...it's not worth my kids collage fund to change the whole front end however...

Thanks for the reply,
Gil

Were you there to see your brother and your sister get married to each other?

any idea if it was self crafted or installed from a manufactured part?
I've investigated it on the net for just a bit to no avail...

First off Gill, LOVE Hawaii! Hoping the wife and I can get back there again for another visit soon.

I know this thread is a little old, but here's my 2 cents...

First, NOONE "makes" this, makes as in manufacturers this. These were first seen on 2 CDC cars that were custom done, but after MANY inquiries, CDC never produced them. I have seen a number of people do it on their own and it does look pretty good. There are many writeups on how-to, but much more trouble than it's worth from what I can see. Second option is the Foose facia, but I don't believe those are being sold any longer as a set. Next best option, while this keeps the front lens, it paints the headlight bucket, just a thought - and they are AVAILABLE.

Hope some of this helps, Aloha!
