The silver works pretty well in the doors, I'll have to admit. Tough the trim around the overhead is simply not working for me. Ultimately, your call though.

Okay, so, I know you guys are telling me to NOT use the welt more than what I have, however, I did away with the two original pieces across the dash, and replaced it with one solid line, which goes across the top of the stereo. I affixed it to the top with strips of 3M. I also trimmed the top of the dash all the way along the car, going with the curves of the two wells. Here is the end result:

(PS: Also did away with the fuzzy dice...for good. They were starting to **** me off after a week of having them. I'll probably try and find some smaller, red and black ones.)

What's wrong with fuzzy dice? I dig the classic look of them.

that looks much better. I was about to recommend making it a solid line and maybe adding/changing to the line up top but it seems you already did!
I have the red welting around my doors (all black doors) and i love it. I want to order more for the dash like you have done but i just havent gotten around to it just yet. How many feet do you think i would need to do both strips like you did?
I also tried the map light with the 8 or so inches i had spare but didnt like the look too much

I went with about 15 feet and it was more than enough to cover everything, map light and dash, it's pretty great. The only pain in the *** was it was impossibly tight in some areas, but too loose in others to the point where I had to put on some 3M (which is included in the kit) strips to hold it in place.

I saw that pic which really made me want to trim the stereo, but it looks a lot better in the pic than it actually comes out in real life....looks like you shoved play-dough in the cracks of the stereo. Not a desirable look AT ALL.
