re-oiling steeda cai filter?
#2
I re-oil it about every 20K miles. Only done it once, and that was very recently because I drove through about 10 miles of heavy dust in a construction zone and I felt like it wasn't oiled from the factory very well...
Just make sure it's clean before you oil it, and totally dry- I let mine sit out for a full day and night. More importantly be careful not to over oil (pretty hard to do that actually, but their website says if there's oil dripping off of it, you over oiled it).

Yea, dry it out well. I do mine on a nice sunny day and let it sit in the sun for awhile.
I do mine once a year, every spring when I take it out of storage. Works out since I don't drive it in the winter. I probably put on less than 10k per year.

Yeah once or twice a year is good. You can usually tell if you have gone too long because the color of the oil fades away and u see the filter material bare. I have a C&L cai and i used the K&N filter cleaner and oil. Works fine.

I clean/re-oil my JLT twice a year using the K&N recharge kit from Pepboys. Just make sure not to over or under oil the filter. Under-oiling can cause a loss in hp and over-oiling it can gunk up the TB/MAF. Just follow the instructions with the kit and you'll be fine
