Default Strengthening a TR3650

Hello,

I’m seeking advice on how to strengthen a Tremec TR3650. My current vehicle is a Ford XR6 Turbo Falcon (http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_reports/ford-falcon-turbo-mk2-review.htm - for those interested) shares the Mustang GT transmission and is currently boosted to 10 psi, has a larger Garrett intercooler and stronger valve spring yielding 435 HP. I’m having a custom clutch built for it with 11” organic plates, pressure plates the whole nine which will adequately hold the power safely. However the general consensus is that once power reaches 500 HP+ the TR3650 shows its weakness.

The second generation of this vehicle has the T56 fitted and most people tend to generally upgrade the whole transmission rather then finding ways to toughen the five speed. As this is the case here in Australia there are very limited options I can peruse, I’m hoping that in the states there will be a wider Varity of products and techniques available. For those who may suggest upgrading to a TKO box this is not possible as the dimensions will not allow for a clean fit to my vehicle.

Any past experience, suggestions or advice would be of great worth.

Cheers,
