Default passenger turn signal acting weird - HELP!

I just installed my fog lights and after i did i noticed that my passenger side marker has been acting weird. It doesn't come on when i turn on the headlights or the running lights but it works when i engage the hazard button and it also works when iusethe turnsignal. What is the deal? is it a blown fuse? i looked in the manual and it seems as though there are no fuses for the lights.

any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks guys

Did you do some wiring? If so time to go check what you did. Did it work beofrre you did the lights?

If you did no wiring then you may have an issue with the Smart Box which will require a trip to the dealer to be fixed.

well i wired the fogs with a pretty standardharness, the only thing i had to tap into was one headlight wire and i just grounded it to the frame asusual.

what does the smartbox do? will ford replace the whole thing or will they just flash it or something?

Try switching the bulbs to see if its in the wiring for that side or if its just the bulb itself.
Isyour interior blinker light (and sound) faster than the other?

It's not going to be a bulb if it works when the hazards are on. Like i said you have either messed something up with your splicing or there is an issue with the Smart Box. The Smart Box is inside the cab of the car and if it is bad will have to be replaced and the new one will have to be programmed. Also since you spliced wiring Ford could very well blame the problem on that, and will most likely try.

Are hazzards the same as turn signal.
Headlights or running lights are the dim
lamp and the turn is the bright lamp.
Hazzards = bright lamp
Turn = bright lamp
Clearance or running = dim lamp.
Seems simple. Burned out dim.

The hazzards are the bright lamps
in the rear and front? Hazzards work =
bright lamp works.
No running = burned out dim bulb.
Pull that sucka outta there and check it
or replace it and see whats yous gots before
heading to the stealership unless you have
$$ growing on a tree somewhere.

If i understand him correctly it is the side marker NOT the rear taillight portion. And since he said it works some times and some times not my guess is still in the wiring job.

I know what your problem is. Well the whole foglight wiring you did is wrong. I bet you mess around with the healights and it's being weaken because it doesn't have a relay which needs one. It turns on and then turns off after a while. I've been messing around with the box and you have to becareful but you haven't done any damage, just yet. Anyways try getting a new harness to work the folights. These are worth your money because I have 4 foglights and they work great. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06...spagenameZWDVW

I'm about to do my next upgrade which is a backup sensor (last time I back up fast, stupid supercharger,I hit a car in the parking lot which I had to get a new bumper lol ) Now I have to play around with the taillights. Goodluck.
