My color ??
Ok so if any one has ever run there car very low on gas at night withthe my colordash you most likely know that the fuel Gage will turn red. So my question is if it does it with the lights on then why not with the lights off since most people drive more during the daythan night.?

are you sure it doesnt.....i think it does actually turn red during the day as well.....but its bad for you to be running with that low of gas in your tank anyhow......its hard on your fuel pump from the heating/cooling of pouring the gas(which is cold) into your tank and will eventually wear on your fuel pump...plus you dont want to run out of gas anyhow.....but that light doesnt even come on until your like 5 miles till empty or something haha....if you cant afford to keep gas in the car then you probably shouldnt be driving a newer mustang anyhow

I've seen that on mine once. It hasn't done it since. And I am not sure of the circumstances at the time it did it. I have run it to where it says 5 miles to go- once. Just checking it out to see how much gas would go in. 15.5 gallons.

I got to "2 miles to Empty" once
but that was because I lost my debt card and I couldn't get to the bank any sooner to get a temp card
I don't carry cash on me and I normaly leave my check book at home
when I pulled into the bank it said 2 miles to empty and it was daylight but I was to conserend with getting the temp card so I could get gas to notice if it turned red ( I was worryed I wouldn't make it to the bank before I ran out

The red gas gague on mine is pretty random, sometimes it will turn red with 15 miles to E, sometimes it won't turn red at all, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it turn red without the lights on.

This time of year, the gas is ALWAYS cold in my tank.

I let it get to 0 once. I don't remember the red light coming on, it was during the day and if it did, it wasn't visible...
