Default FAIL SAFE MODE

Has anyone one else had this come up where the car hit the torque limit( at least that is what STEEDA is saying) and shuts 2 cylinders down? I just put the charge motion plates, 4:10 gears and Flywheel in. and I cant seem to get above 4k RPM. Dont know if it is the new programing or what.

I take it you don't have the IUP dash? Mine has went into Fail Safe Mode but it told me so in the information center in the speedo. My car is in the shop now for pulling a code and at first they thought it was the Mass Air Meter but now they think the computer is bad. Did you get the new re-tune from Steeda after the new plate purchase? Steeda says you need a new flash to compensate for the removal of the charge motion plates. Also I don't have the plates yet.

Just asking but did you install the program right? I messed up the first time I did mine. You have to plug it in and select which program you want while the key is off. After you hold the program key long enough for all the lights to start blinking you need to cut the key to the run position without starting. Wait for all the lights to quit flashing. It should go back to having just the program you selected buttons light to be on then cut the key off and unplug the cable. It sounds to me that you still have the stock program installed. I put my stock program in with the CAI on and vapor trap removed and it went into fail safe mode as soon as it reved up. Not saying this is your case but just trying to help.

Hey I apprecate all the help, I am going to try to re-stall them again tonight. Before I send the SCT box back to STEEDA for them to check the programing. Thinking of running all the programs back through, chip, charge and gear just to be safe. If not looks like a drive to Pompano Beach to STEEDA, YUCK![sm=sigh.gif]
