Check charging system?

Check charging system?
This morning I pulled the car out, it was about 45*.. Idled it out of the garage, set the e-brake, walked back to close the garage door, hopped back in, and the batter light was on and the info center said "check charging system".. I shut it off, started it back up, and the error did not return. Drove all the way to work (~30 miles), no repeat on the message.
Was this a fluke? Should I be concerned? Is there a known issue? I think the dealer will give me **** because of the blower, and the alternator is no longer in the stock location (it's even spinning the reverse direction of what it did OEM, so...)..
Bueller....... Bueller.........

RE: Check charging system?
hey exx, if this happens again then
let me know....at that point we'll
start troubleshooting
strangely, over 90% of the alternator
problems i've read about, seem to
happen with the saleen s/c.
i'm not sure why this is, but i'm interested
to find out what is going on...

RE: Check charging system?
HEY...I just went through this....as most of you know...it is probably the wires coming out of your alternator on your pigtail. one of my wires were so brittle it broke at the bend going into the plug. So for now I cut out the wire and spliced in new,..conected and soldered at each end...for some reason several people went through this with the saleen ....good luck..let me know if you need any help...
