What is a good company to go through? And do you all pull your heads off yourselves? Or do you send the whole car in?

I'd like to see those dyno numbers. These 3V heads flow REALLY well which is a main factor of the 300hp factoryrating. Are those rwhp #'s?
Agreed. It's marketing at it's best. Taking numbers from the company who produces or does the work, kind of a conflict of interest don't you think? JBA claims 21 hp with shorty headers, too. I don't think so.

I agree, I think the 40HP number claimsare complete crap. Where are the independently confirmned dyno numbers from Mustang enthusiasts with those kind of numbers? They don't exist. The 3v heads are really good the way they are. I think the original posters head work work may have been worth 15-20HP and the cams the same.

I'd like to get my heads done also, and after speaking with a top national race head company they said it would take "considerable" work and refabrication of the 3v ports to "meaningfully" improve on the OEM design. "Meaningfully" improvemeans getting over 30 RWHP and all across the range, not just between 5500 - 6500 RPM's. At that point they said you would need a custom cam to match the heads and with that combo you might expect 55-65 RWHP and be very streetable. But that would cost a lot more money than $800 for the heads. Probably 3x that amount. For $800 the original poster is getting a reasonable value. But MMR getting 40 RWHP for $800? Fawgetaboutit.

Yes , We installed new valves, titanium springs, not cheap. But to the job right a must. A note for some of you thinking about Stage 3 cams. Crane Cam has had issues with the valves hitting the pistons with milled heads.Crane cams actually asked for copies of my dyno results after the build. One of there Reps contacted me about doing futher testing with my set up.My question was,if the test ace my motor are they covering it,Waiting for response? I'll keep you up to date if I hear anymore.Sorry it takes so long to repond to your questions, I work midnights.
