LOL..... +1

ORIGINAL: mygt500

Its funny you mention that because I did not use it for the pedals either just for everything on the outside of the car!

I've never had to use promoter before, is it just due to the material of the stock pedal that it needs to
be used to get a good bond?
All of the above is good info. But I will tell you that when I applied my pedals, I merely cleaned the gas pedal very well with rubbing alcohol. Applied the pedal, and put a thick rubber band around it for about 12 hours or so. The pedals have been on for probably a year and a half, and I have had zero issues.

I don't have the CDC pedals, different brand. They have countersunk holes for screws. I just drilled holes in the stock gas pedal, filled them with epoxy and then screwed the pedals on. The pedal is on there for good now. drawback is I can never take it off. Good thing is I never have to worry about it moving or falling off in "the heat of battle".

Thanks. I'll at least look for the adhesion promoter, and if I completely fail, maybe won't
bother.. I figured I'd clamp it down overnight, I have plenty of clamps.

If your interested send me your name and address. I have one of the small packets with the little foam sponge of adhesion promoter and I would be more than willing to mail it to you and it should be plenty for your need.

Just use the stuff Elwood Blues used on the RV's gas pedal in The Blues Brothers!

06GT,

Thanks for the offer! I'm going to head to an auto parts store near work, and a HUGE HW store if I can't find it there.
If those come up bust, I may take you up on it.

Thanks!

I put on my pedals w/o the promoter. If it falls off, at least it isn't falling off onto
the road and being lost or anything. On the outside of the car, I did use adhesion
promotor though. Mine came with my chin spoiler but it had enough to do my side
scoops and rear spoiler also.
