Are the shifting speeds different? Is the shifting smoother than stock or is this strictly a speed mod?

I notice i can shift into the gears about 10mph sooner. I used to put her in 5th at 55 and up and now it's at 45. Overall it feels smoother except ive noticed the car sometimes wants to launch more than start off from a light.

Def a great mod the car pulls real hard from any speeed

I've heard three different numbers for 5th gear.....67, .675, and now .62

Anyone know the real numbers for our gears?

The individual gears (1st, 2nd,...) are fixed inside the transmission. The gears that people change are in the differential. So the engine rotates the gears inside the transmission, and the transmission gears rotate the driveshaft, and then the driveshaft rotates the gears in the differential, and the gears in the differential rotate the axle, and the axle rotates the tires. So when someone changes their differential gears (ring and pinion) or their tire height, it changes the effect of the engine on the movement of the car.

Car pulls alot harder from any gear with the 4.10s, i used to shift into 2nd gear around 41mph with my 3.31s, with the 4.10s its like 35ish, and it gets there QUICK. 2nd gear is fun as hell too... shifting around 60mph into 3rd.

Def one of my favorite mods. After exhaust

Love the 4.10's in my 07 Black AutoGT.

Like they said earlier dont fear the gear, you wont regret it. I don't after doing the research.

If the car pulls a lot harder at any speed, why doesn't Ford make them that way? Let me guess, it lowers your gas mileage.
