An Aluminum Hurst T shifter **** on the factory shifter. I used a piece of chrome nipple to cover the iron shifter .

I don't have pictures of my current set up. I am using an MGW shifter with the hurst **** now. The MGW shifter was a definite improvement.

In that case, all you need to buy is a large washer (with a hole just larger than the shifter and overall diameter about 1/2" wider than boot opening.) and the appropriate sized nut. If they don't have black available, pick up a small can of satin black spray paint.

Pull shift **** off.
Put jam nut on.
Pull boot up from console.
Put washer inside of boot.
Slide washer over shifter, resting on jam nut.
Screw **** on to desired position.
Tighten jam nut up to shift ****.
Re-seat shift boot.

Of course, there's other ways, but this should work fine.

J/C... Here's a pic of mine. My car is a GT350 Tribute, so on Ebay I found a 2" GT350 ****. The picture is actually recessed in the ****. You can't actually feel the GT350 emblem. I like it.

OEM Bullitt shifter boot and Hurst shifter ****, no jam nut and boot fits tight on shifter lever eliminating the grommet that came with the shifter to adapt to the stock boot.
