Did my swap today but no luck with the controls and base radio but will keep tryin I also swap out my radio with a shaker and the controls worked on it so the wires r there but gotta figure out how to make em work with the base radio. O I will post pics tomorrow gotta go to sleep gotta go to work in 3 hours
So they work with the Shaker 500 hey? Cool. Good to know. Hope you have luck getting them to work on the base head unit. Thanks for your efforts.
If you are unsuccessful, I may have to post a thread about who may want to sell their Shaker 500 for those who may have swapped out for aftermarket units.
The only that sucks about just swapping the hu is that u have to get the amps too because if u dont the sound isn't very loud so u have turn the volume all the way up just to hear it
I'm also glad to hear that the wiring is all set and it is the radio; as most of us suspected.
I have a bad feeling that if the radio supported it, it would have been activated by default :-(
But I sure hope someone figures this out.
because they don't have premium GTs, the 500 is nicer then the base one.

What you said is that "they don't have premium Gts"..... I understand what you meant by the swap only makes sense for base mustangs since the premiums already have the nicer steering wheels. But, what you said was "They don't have premium GTs". So what you stated may have been what you meant, but it didn't come across that way. It came a cross as you saying that there's no such thing as a Premium GT.
