or RX-8's, that's what i had before i got the mustang, so you may be up to something here...

Dude, the 2010+ Stangs have the best interiors yet. Here are a few shots of mine so you can get a different image.....

This last pic kinda sucks, but you can see the Ambient Lighting kit better:

Wow - so at night the wood grain turns black, how do you make it do that?

Where did you get the overlays - they look great...

Ha ha! They are magic..... You have to get a unicorn to shoot a rainbow out of his horn while the car is in neutral while tapping the brake four times....

Yeah, I ordered the wood overlay kit from a website called www.carid.com

They have a few companies they carry, like Sherwood and B&I. I ordered the B&I version of the kit. It took about two weeks for me to get the kit because they ship from somewhere else.

thats not the retro look this style is going for. That to me looks like its trying to be the interior of your grand dads old jag.

I'm a big fan of "to each his own", but in this case I kinda have to agree. The looks says more "Town Car" than "Mustang".

No offense taken. I like both looks but as you can see by my interior I like the woodgrain look better. I appreciate the look that Ford is "going for", but if we all kept our vehicles exactly stock then we wouldn't have the originality that we all end up adding in mods after the fact. The woodgrain is an accent. It in no way changes the design, lines, or functionality of the interior so it's not really all that dramatic of a change.

You're right, as far back as '66 for sure. Maybe even farther, I dont know.

When I was restoring my '66 I remember coming across the option for woodgrain dash pieces. I think it was offered with the Pony interior.
