well thats shocking cause when i talked to explorer express directley they told me that it wouldnt be cali legal, then again that was roughly 3-4 months ago, things do change.
The Cali spec and HiPo didn't go through CARB exemption for Mustangs.

Cali spec for the Ford Explorer did go through the process, I believe.

The intercooled setup got the CARB exemption last year. Which aside from performance gains, is the other reason I wanted it for my car.

If you are looking for a turbo then check out Powerhouse 411. They have one for the V6 and guys running it are putting down some great numbers at the track.

the cali spec has lower numbers unfortunatley, do you know anybody who works in a shop? or maybe a shady one you could pay off for when you get smogged? cause you would have alot more fun with the HO, also alot more bang for your buck.

Worrying about $20-25 a month for insurance is ridiculous. If you're running a performance tune or blower, you're already buying higher octane gas and paying for that.

Gotta pay to play!

If I were to do a blower setup on a V6 again, it would likely be a powerhouse turbo. The Vortech was very nice and pulled great; keeping the car on the road due to spinning the tires from a stop or slow roll was a real problem. So, low-end torque was plenty.

i originally wanted an 02 trans am, but my parents said the insurance was too expensive. they bought my mustang without checking and the insurance on my V6 mustang turned out to be more expensive then the 02 trans am would have been, go figure? lol
