Believe it or not my post was read by one of the Powertrain Engineers. This morning I received a call from the Powertrain Engineer that is responsible for the 5.0 clutch. He asked if he could send down a "few" parts to try.....


Here is the list of whats being replaced:

1. Pedal Box Springs
2. Pressure Plate
3. Clutch Disc
4. Slave Cylinder
5. Flywheel (Optional - If they see any spots at all replace)
6. Special Instructions from Engineering: If in doubt replace.

Essentially everything in the clutch system. I think this is so they can get a look at all the parts.

Is the new tranny coming with a stronger input shaft?

The MT82 in the 5.0L has a 26-Spline like the TR6060 in the GT500.
Im not sure about the MT82 in the 3.7L.
