Ok lets not go there.
There is no use in going the direction of a stock 6yr old car against a brand new modded one.

The 05-09GT's can also be modded to whip the modded V6's ***.

Wow, this thread is turning out to be pretty pointless.

well, what happens when a modded 2011 V6 beats a stock 2010 V8?

It's bound to happen sooner or later.

I also agree with you about our cars, we can mod all the same and the V6 will NEVER have our torque.

Not too shabby for the 3.7! I'm a V8 guy, but you must admit, Ford did a good job dropping that 3.7 in the standard car.

I look forward to when Job 2 cars are available with the 6-speed manual, 3.31 gears and the GT suspension, that will be a nice ride.

Because now it's turning into a "nah ah, my car is faster." The age old V6 vs V8 argument. If sticks to just discussing the two cars that's fine, but if not it's just another bashing thread. No disrespect.

Wow, reading comprehension isn't a strong suit, huh? The 2.73 gear ratio is, essentially, for the purpose of achieving the very marketable accomplishment of 31 highway MPG. I hope you don't believe that solely because of the V6's 6-speed, the GT's advantage in gearing is negated.

What's the point of comparing two cars when one has more horsepower, more torque, and more aggressive gears? Is anyone surprised at all that the GT won? All I'm saying is they should have put 3.31 gears in the V6, or else there is really no point to the comparison.

I have driven both, and there is really no comparison....The V6 is a 30 mpg car that is bad *** no doubt, but the '10 GT is in another class power wise.

Im waiting for the 2010 v6 vs 2011 v8 video!
The v8 is faster if modded equally either way you look at it... If you mod a 4cyl enough you will be keeping up with v8s no problem, same goes for the 2011 6cyl. Stock vs stock the v8 wins in most cases
