Default This Boss Mustang thats supposed to come out.

So this Boss Mustang everyone keeps talking about. Is it going to be a faster car than the current 5.0 or is it going to be just an appearance package like the CS is?

the boss 302 is a track only car, unless you are talking about something else

It is not just an appearance package. LostBoyz is correct. It is a track-only vehicle. I recall the article I read about it a while back said it could cost $80,000 but that doesn't really matter unless you put it on a race track. I could be wrong about the cost.

Actually you are wrong.
Ford has been hinting at a street production Boss Mustang for a while now.
The track version race car is already out.

Looks like unofficially....it's official in a way.
from the mouth of Mark Fields, executive vice president, Ford Motor Company, and president, The Americas, at the recent Ford 2010 Dealer Show. at the recent Ford Dealer show

"We did the Bullitt, we did a Mach 1, we did the C/S. I can't tell you what the next special edition Mustang will be, but I can give you a hint."

At that point, a 1970 Boss 302 drove across the stage.

Fields quipped, "Is that a subtle enough hint?"

I bet it will be next model year to allow the new 5.0 to have its time in the spotlight and maybe to be another special to compete the Z/28 introduction if it is released next year.

My bad the mach1 or a street Boss version. I know about the track one already. Some people on here are saying they are not buying the 2011 GT because they will be coming out with a mach1 or boss.

Will it be faster you think than the 2011?

They have said it will not be just an appearance package.
Yes it will be faster.
As for HOW MUCH faster or just what they plan to put in it
in order to add more power we do not know.
They could add little things here and there or they could throw a blower on it.
We do not know yet.

Heck... they might even go all alum like they did with the GT500's new engine to make it weigh less as well.

And as for Mach 1... no... it looks like it will be named the BOSS.
Read the article in the link I posted above man.
