I appreciate your ideas and experiences. They are all valuable
and will definitely help when I'm ready to get the car, which I hope
will be very soon!

The deal breaker for me is whether the warranty would still be
valid where I'm moving to or not. I'm trying to contact different
dealerships there for an answer. The service manager at the
dealership here said that it will still be covered but I have to
make sure.

The premium care warranties are a ford direct thing, so it'll still be covered anywhere under Ford I believe.

Yes, of course the warranty is still valid. Unless you move to the North Pole, then you might be screwed.

In that case, I found a link that seems to indicate that it's valid in the 50 states.

http://www.fordwarrantys.com/premiumCare.cfm

So In your case I don't think it would work =( sadly.

Mind me asking what has you going to the middle east anyhow?

From my personal experience, you can ship a vehicle overesas with permission from your bank or credit union. Secondly most maufacturers warranties are void outside the US. I had a Civic SI that I shipped to Germany and the warranty was void despite the dealer swearing up and down it was good. I would call Fords corporate warranty department to confirm.

If I had that kind off money laying around, I would not be investing in a car...in addition, borrowing money is soo cheap right now? You can probably take your existing car with and sell it overseas for double....

I'm still waiting to hear from a dealership over there.

The reason I'm going is because I am originally from there. I was only here for four years to get my degree in Electrical Engineering, and I'm graduating in December from Penn State. I have a good job offer from the largest oil company in the world and I'm taking it. Plus no taxes over there!

That's an option that I will have to look into.
Thanks for the advice!

Ahh very cool! I'm a sophomore at University of Illinois and was originally majoring in EE, although I'm also doing AFROTC and didn't find enough time for everything.

So now I'm gonna be an economist! =D so I can tax all of these americans hahah jk jk
